Introducing the WMO 2026 Calendar Competition finalists.

This year, we received incredible entries from all around the world, and we are in awe of the stunning photographs submitted.

We want to give a big THANK YOU shout-out to everyone who participated in the competition. It was a very tough decision, but we have narrowed our selection down to 75 amazing photos. This year, the competition focused on the impacts of weather, climate, and water—both positive and negative—on people and livelihoods. The finalists also illustrate the power of nature and the need to protect our beautiful planet from the impact of human activities - driving forces behind WMO's work.

Now we need YOU to help us choose the winning photos by voting for your favourites by simply liking them on Facebook, Instagram and/or on Flickr. The WMO jury (which consists of photographers, meteorologists, scientists and communication experts) will make the final decision on the 13 photos based on a combination of your votes, technical and artistic flair, as well as geographical balance.

The winning photographs will feature in the WMO 2026 Calendar and will be showcased on WMO’s social media channels and website, feature prominently in our World Meteorological Day 2026 celebrations, and in our outreach materials.

Voting being today and will end on 8 September 2025!
